What do you wonder about our farming world?

So! We have been writing this blog for over two years now, and we're wondering what else you'd like to know about our little world. Send us an emaill, or comment here (we get more emails then comments it seems) and we'll try to answer it.

Are there things you want to know about livestock farming? Gardening questions? Butchering questions? We'll choose a few topics to address! We'd like to make the blog a bit more interactive for all of the readers!

  1. HI both, I only found the blog a little while ago, so have spent about 6 weeks catching up with your last 2 years. Been very interesting to read how you've adapted things, having tried out what's the best fit for your region/weather, land type, and animal housing etc.
I can think of loads of topics, including why you have chosen specific breeds of livestock, which you are happy with, which you may still change in future (sheep, pigs, chickens and turkeys etc) have enjoyed seeing recipes for produce and meat, so more of those welcome. I haven't seen any mention of the horses recently, if you're not doing produce this year are they still around, being used for fieldwork, or did I miss an update about that? Have you found a good use for the tanned rabbit hides? (Gave me a flashback to the UK Homesteader Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall of River Cottage fame - who joined with his local Women's Institute and had a fashion show of the items they created from rabbit hides). I love to read anything about sheep, I know you have several sheep, I think some 'resident' ones, as well as some for meat shares, would enjoy the backstory of the sheep who have been with you the longest - theres a few topics to choose from!

  2. I wonder what happened with the horses. Also if you see yourselves entering into purchasing the house and land you are on.
